Overview and Purpose

The OAGi Architecture Committee determines OAGi's architectural principles, develops roadmaps, and manages connectSpec release schedules. It develops or overseas development of white papers and specifications. It advises the OAGi senior staff and Policy Board on matters such as OAGi partnerships with other organizations, OAGi engagement with global standards organizations, communications, etc.

Meeting Cadence

  • The OAGi Architecture Committee generally meets on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Fridays of the month, 11:00 - 12:00 US Eastern Time (New York).

Leadership

  • OAGi Architecture Committee meetings are normally facilitated by OAGi senior staff.

  • OAGi Architecture Committee communications occur via an email list, Slack, and GitHub notifications.

connectSpec (OAGIS) Oversight Working Group

Overview and Purpose

  • This working group manages connectSpec core component model development. It does not manage connectSpec releases, although it provides input to the OAGi Architecture Committee who does manage releases.

Meeting Cadence

  • The working group regularly meets on Mondays, 08:00 - 08:30 and 16:00 - 17:00 US Eastern Time (New York); and on Tuesdays 08:30 - 10:00 and 16:00 - 17:00 US Eastern Time (New York)

Leadership

  • Leadership is rotates among GitHub issue submitters.

This working group is developing a meta-mapping specification, that is a specification for how one expresses a mapping between a data source and a data target. The group is also developing tooling and examples for mapping specifications that conform to to meta-mapping specification.
