Overview and Purpose
The IOF MTConnect WG’s objective is to create an ontology using the MTConnect Information Model and reconstruct it according to the IOF mid-level ontologies. MTConnect is a free and open ANSI Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) standard administered by the MTConnect Institute, wholly-owned by the Association for Manufacturing Technology (AMT). MTConnect is the leading international standard providing semantic observations of data from manufacturing equipment. Most CNC machine tools and controllers support the MTConnect information model and protocol as with most discrete manufacturing applications. More information can be found at the MTConnect Institute.
Meeting Cadence
- The IOF MTConnect WG meets bi-weekly on Mondays, 10:00 - 11:00 US Eastern Time (New York).
