OAGi’s IOF Looks Forward to Core Ontology Release

Authored by - The IOF Leadership Team

OAGi’s Industrial Ontology Foundry (IOF) has worked diligently for years on the IOF Core Ontology. The primary goal of the Core Ontology is to provide domain working groups with a set of terms commonly used in manufacturing. The ontological commitments made in the Core Ontology will, to a large degree, determine the scope and direction of the IOF. The version one release draft is scheduled to be ready on 25 February and released to the public in April. It has been a long journey, but the mountaintop is in sight!
